Who are we?

We are a sincere group of part-time employees of Oakland Community College, who are concerned and oppposed to the OCC/Adecco employment transition. Adecco sugar-coats its many examples of so-called improvements by labeling them as "benefits". A closer examination of the Adecco Handbook displays there are no actual benefits for current part-time OCC Employees, unless they meet unobtainable Adecco objectives for a consistent period of 13 consecutive weeks. In the process, we as OCC employees will lose the ongoing distinction we have held high as dedicated workers of Oakland Community College, not to mention any retirement plan currently offered by OCC.

Many of us went to school here, some enjoy the act of helping students on their journey for their quest of a higher education. All of us feel slighted by the HR dept. who chose to alter our employment without prior approval of the OCC Board of Trustees.
